Alabama- Take 2

After our disastrous first attempt to go to visit the boy’s family in Alabama, we are trying again. This time the baby girl is older, we are equipped with a car seat that looks more like a La-Z-Boy recliner than a safety device, and of course Old McDonald Had a Farm.

Things are in full packing swing here. Laundry is in, butter is sitting on the counter coming to room temperature waiting to be made into cupcakes for the baby girl’s birthday celebration with the in-laws, suitcases are out with neat stacks slowing filling them, the carpet is freshly vacuumed, and lists are being checked off.

I am hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. The boy and I have bets in as to how long the baby girl will last in her car seat before she starts screaming and becoming a bucking bronco. Hopefully he wins; he was a little more optimistic than I was!
