I will be buying...

this book. I had three co-workers tell me how wonderful it is on Friday. One of them said it is like dating again. I love the idea of dating again! Even though we haven't been married very long I think it's never to early in your relationship to keep striving to keep that spark alive. I haven't seen the movie Fireproof, yet (it's on our Netflix que and it has a long wait on it) but apparently the book was written based on a book that was a part of the movie. Hopefully I will make it to Borders or Barnes and Noble before the day is over...I guess we'll see! For now, I have a grad school paper to get back to writing.

Right now I am in love with...

this fun dress from JCrew. I think the green looks like Spring, my favorite season (not that we have seasons in Florida). I have to go to a wedding at the end of March, maybe I should talk the boy into getting it for me. However, we are probably buying a new TV.... so maybe not!

I said I would never get another big one, but...

The boy has always really liked his 52 inch TV that he bought when he first moved here and I have always said that he was lucky he owned it before I met him, because if not, our TV would be much smaller. In order to down play the size of the TV about a year ago we purchased a great entertainment set from World Market (I love that place), now I am pretty certian that we are going to need a new TV and that I am going to have to eat my words. For the aesthetics of the room the only thing that is going to look right is a big one because of the huge cabinet base. Best Buy will be excited when they see us walking in...big TVs here we come!

The Bulb Went Out

These were the words said to me a week ago, "I have some bad news...the bulb went out." At the time, I didn't think it was a big deal, however, a week later, I have to admit I am going through withdrawal. The bulb for the TV is hopefully on it's way and arriving sometime soon. I have already missed two American Idols and all I can do is hope that the TIVO is recording it all. So, what I really want to know is did Norman Gentle make it to the top 12?

Mrs. Jones and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Well...maybe it wasn't quite that bad, but it definitely wasn't good. Meetings have to be the worst part of any job, or maybe just with my job. If I could do away with meetings, life would be wonderful. As it is, I have another one on Thursday that I am already dreading. Guess I just might have to try to start learning to like them, because they aren't going to go away. Then again, I don't see that happening, so maybe not.

You Wouldn't Really Like That...Would You?

So...here is a conversation that happened yesterday.

Me: What would you like for your birthday?
The Boy: What would you like for your birthday?
Me: Your birthday is way before mine, I don't have to start thinking about it yet. So, what do you want?
The Boy: I don't know I'll think about it.
Me: Wait, I know what I would want, dinner already cooked for me every night.
The Boy: You wouldn't really want that would you.
Me: Well, maybe not every night, but it would be nice a few nights a week.

Well, all I have to say is that it worked. Dinner is ready and I didn't do a thing! My husband is wonderful!

We have some in the fridge...

So the boy and I were at the grocery store on Saturday picking up the usual weekly list, when I went to get a pie crust. The boy stops me saying that he is sure that we have one in the fridge. Being the good wife that I am I inform him that if he is wrong and I don't buy this pie crust then he is in T R O U B L E. Well, it is Sunday night and I go to make dinner, I pull out the pie crust that was in fact in the fridge only to figure out that the expiration date is September 1, 2007. Needless to say...we were both a little right, we had one and needed one...so now we are both in trouble as our dinner is ruined.
