My Favorite Things

Ipad (No explanation needed)
Blokus (It’s like Tetris but better!)
Gap Shirred Scoopneck T-shirt (simple, versatile, cute)
Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte (Tastes like a cinnamon roll in a cup, yum!)

Bouncy Seat (It actually bounces and the baby girl loves it!)

Yes to Carrots Hand Lotion (Works great on my over washed hands, thanks to all the diaper changing.)
3 Marthas Burp Cloths (Thick and soft)
Bumbleride Flite (The baby girl doesn’t really like it, but I do.  It’s lightweight and comes with a carseat adapter.)
Heating Pad (I warm up the baby girl’s bed before I put her down, she’s spoiled! J)

Pacifiers (I never thought I would use one, but they are a life saver at times.)

The Intruder

Dear 45 Minute Intruder,
I am not sure why you choose to bother me every day. I know that I am cute, but can’t you find another baby to pick on? You come during my nap times and disturb my slumber and make me mad; when I am only trying to be a sweet baby for my mom and sleep. If you would just stay way for one nap a day I would be forever grateful to you (I wouldn’t mind if you came just once a day though because having my mom come and pick me up is the best).

Sincerely,
The Baby Girl

Theories, Methods, Practices, Advice, and So Much More

(Picture courtesy of Mama Burd at Sugar Snap Shots)

There is so much information out there for new parents on the latest and greatest new technique to get your baby to sleep. Each one has its own tried and true method that without a doubt will work. The thing is, if there were only one method to get your baby to sleep, then there won’t be all these books and theories on it. So, whose advice do you take? Do you let her cry it out, or do the pick up/put down method? Is it okay for her to fall asleep rocking her or not? What about holding her and walking with her?

My baby girl has decided that she likes being sleep deprived and likes depriving me of my sleep too. An overtired baby is absolutely no fun. She likes to pop her eyes open after sleeping for five minutes and declare herself no longer tired but then is quickly loosing it because she really is (gotta love the crying). I am still working on a solution to my problem, but any advice is more than welcome!

Outing

My new hobby of sitting on the couch all day hasn’t been serving me well, which is why we headed to my favorite running shoe store yesterday for our first official outing. Here are a few things I learned from our outing: I might want to think about bringing more than one change of clothes for the baby girl for explosive diaper incidences, the baby girl only likes her car seat when she is asleep, and outings more than fifteen minutes away might not be a good idea for a few more weeks.

On a sad note, the baby girl is out of newborn diapers and I am already wishing time wasn’t going so fast with her. There are about five outfits that she has already outgrown. I hardly know where days go and can’t believe she is already six weeks old.

Here are some pictures I took of her the other day, enjoy!
