Today was my due date and a week ago I went into labor. Nothing can prepare you for any of it, read all you want. Labor was awful, I am not going to lie, but holding my daughter makes it all worth it. I never knew I could love someone so much.

10 Things I Never Knew About Pregnancy
No matter how much weight you gain or don’t gain or how good people tell you that you look, you still feel like Humpty Dumpty.
Getting more than 20 vials of blood taken is pretty standard.
At the end, you want her to come out as much as you want her to stay in (mostly so you don’t have to go through labor).
It’s hard to imagine loving her more than you do now.
The more painful the “fake” contraction is, the more excited you feel, because it means you are making progress.
No matter how much you read about pregnancy and having a baby (labor, breastfeeding, etc.) you still don’t feel like you know anything.
It’s hard to watch your body change and know that it will never be the same.
The number of times that you need to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night is amazing (and not in a good way)!
Everyone stares at you as if they have never seen a pregnant person before in their life.
You are already protective and worry about the little one and know it’s only going to get worse when they actually arrive.

Soon…or maybe not
This is the weird part of pregnancy, turning 37 weeks (which for me is tomorrow). From this point on the baby could be born at any time...or in the next five weeks. Up until now, I haven’t thought all that much about the few aches and pains I have had with pregnancy, but all of the sudden with the knowledge that it could be any time (or in five weeks) I am analyzing every little thing my body does trying to decipher if it is “normal” or not. So from now until the baby comes I am going to be a paranoid worry wart. Yes, you can feel sorry for the boy, I do too!
