As Days Go By

The summer has flown by between the house projects and fun outings most days don’t seem long enough. Every time we complete a project I think, oh, I wish I had taken before and after pictures and now it’s too late, so far this is happened at least five or six times. So, if you were hoping for some idea of what all we have done, you are out of luck.

It’s been raining almost every day here. The little pitter patter calls to the baby girl and she can’t help but rush out the door into the downpour or light shower depending on the day. She splashes in the puddles, stomps her feet, and squeals with delight.

Sleep has become a huge fight these days. Naps are practically nonexistent, they last less than an hour and usually result in her screaming after about 30 minutes, I have to run in and calm her then she sleeps another 15, and wakes up happy. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now, I wish I knew how to put an end to this vicious cycle. It’s driving me a little really crazy.

As always, the picture has nothing to do with the post, but that makes it all the more enjoyable, right?

In A Book Coma

(taken at my mom's house)
First it was painting various rooms in the house, then The Hunger Games got a hold of me. Thankfully I am finished with the series and I can get back to housework, projects, and the like. Unfortunately, when I read, everything else gets put on the back burner. The house is coming along, however, there is still a lot to do though to make it feel complete. There is so much that I love about the house, but here are my favorite things:

The wood burning fireplace
The front porch complete with a swing
It’s yellow
Our back deck
The large backyard
The window seats in the bedrooms upstairs
A quiet quaint neighborhood
The high ceilings
It has a laundry room
The boy has an office

Pictures to come, when I feel a little better about the way it looks, there are still walls to be painted, pictures to put up, furniture to purchase. Sorry for the wait!
