Fingers!

I think he/she might be a thumb sucker and the boy is already saving up for the braces that will follow! I also have never been so excited to see five little fingers in my entire life!

A Small Step or A Big Step...You decide!

I have officially finished my first trimester! What does that mean? Well, the nausea is slowly starting to go away, my belly is noticably slightly enlarged, and a third of my pregnancy is gone. It's hard to believe that I am already at this point. It also means that I need to get a move on the nursery and all the other things that I only have two more trimesters to accomplish, but that will have to be postponed for another day...I am exhausted, growing a baby is hard work!

Different

Pregnancy has hit me far different than I expected. Yes, everyone says you will get nauseous, and I am, yes, everyone says you will be emotional, and I definitely am, but no one can really explain what you are going to go through. From the moment you find out, your whole thought process changes; you don’t buy clothes or go shopping because you anticipate your growing belly, you look at your two piece bathing suits and wonder if you are ever going to wear them again or if you will have horrible stretch marks in a few months, you look at your husband’s home office and try to figure out how you are going to kick him out to make it into a nursery, everything suddenly changes- almost in the blink of an eye. Don’t get me wrong, I am thankful to be pregnant and almost through my first trimester (thank goodness!) and I can’t imagine how I will feel in six months…but I don’t want to think about that right now!
