Things have come to a screeching halt around here. We finished painting our bathroom and
bedroom, found a mirror for the half bath, and stopped. We have discussed starting various projects
like painting the laundry room or working on some of the remodeling of the
upstairs bath, but nothing has come of it.
The projects of late have been replaced by having friends over, outings
to the park, lots of bubbles in the driveway (a new obsession), and getting
back into my daily run. There is a part
of me that is enjoying the break, but another that worries if we don’t get
things done while we have the motivation and time it might never get done.
I often struggle to live in the moment, borrowing tomorrows problems, wanting to plan for the future. I have to make myself stop and appreciate where I am right now, thanking God for each new day.
